You can rely on a Wavebreak!
Wavebreak rigid inflatable boats are handcrafted: each boat is custom-built to satisfy your specific needs. Our flexibility in the manufacturing process ensures your boat is outfitted the way you want it.
And because we are precision engineers as well as boat builders, we can design, manufacture and install components necessary to your work and/or pleasure.
Wavebreaks plane at low speeds and handle sharp turns without slippage, providing a confident and inspiring ride even to the most inexperienced driver.

And because we place great emphasis on handling and performance, waterskiers and wakeboarders won't be disappointed either!
NZ made Wavebreak rigid inflatables are perfect for all types of activities from fishing, hunting, recreational and commercial diving to search and rescue, fisheries and police operations.
Uncluttered and spacious interiors make Wavebreaks ideal for use as yacht tenders, race-marshal and sailing club chase boats, transportation dinghies and water-taxis.
All Wavebreak hulls are constructed with the highest certified 5083 marine-grade alloy available to withstand conditions that are destructive to fibreglass and plastic hulls which can chip, graze and crack against rocks and other hard surfaces.
Wavebreak RHIBs let you explore more areas that you wouldn't dare approach in less durable boats.
Our removable "dual-layer" pontoon system is another important safety aspect of the Wavebreak's design. Our RIBs feature heavy-duty inflatable butynol bladders encased and protected by superior rip-stop polymer-coated outer bags.
It takes practically an act of vandalism to puncture through the Wavebreak’s protective outer bags and into its inner inflated bladders!
In contrast to the Wavebreak's superior dual-layer pontoon system, Hypalon pontoons (and some PVC pontoons) are typically “single layer” systems which means the inflated bladder comprises the whole pontoon. There is no outer protection with single-layer pontoon systems, making the bladders susceptible to pinholes and punctures.
As soon as a Hypalon pontoon is pin-holed or punctured, it begins to deflate. In the case of pinholes, the pontoon may deflate slowly enough to just be a nuisance - the dangerous risk is a puncture which causes immediate deflation.
Wavebreaks feature heavy-duty inflatable butynol bladders encased and protected by superior rip-stop, polymer-coated outer bags. This "Dual-Layer" pontoon system provides an extra measure of protection against pinholes, tears and punctures.

Most Hypalon single-layer pontoons are glued to the hull and therefore are difficult to remove and expensive to replace!
In contrast, the Wavebreak's dual-layer outer bags and inner bladders are completely removable - there is no need to ship the entire boat away for simple pontoon repairs or replacement.
Most repairs to the Wavebreak's pontoons can be made quickly and easily - right where you happen to be!
Some rigid inflatable manufacturers rely solely on pontoons to comprise the boat sides. We don't compromise - our Wavebreak RIBs feature high marine-grade alloy sides, creating a "boat within a boat".
Because the Wavebreak has high sides it remains floating and more importantly, operational even with fully-deflated bladders!
In addition, the alloy sides free-up internal floorspace and allow for 600mm high internal freeboard and extra safety.
Wavebreaks easily manage heavy loads of passengers and gear without taking on water or adversely affecting performance.
Smooth-riding in the choppiest of waters, the Wavebreak is engineered to plane at low speeds and to handle sharp turns without slippage.
Its 19-degree deadrise hull enables the Wavebreak to slice through water, giving predicability in steering while reverse chines and planing strakes add stability and deflect water.
Designed to provide optimal room and stability, the alloy-hulled Wavebreak endures rugged treatment without compromising rough water performance or safety.
Wavebreak RIBs are certified for commercial operation through Maritime NZ's Safe Ship Management (SSM) Program.
Survey testing proved that the Wavebreak remains stable when flooded, when deflated and when heavily-loaded.
